A complete Motor Repair Kit to fit many ATE MK60.1 ABS Pump Units including BMW (including Motorrad), Porsche, Ford, Volvo, Vauxhall, Renault, Alfa Romeo etc. Easily repair common faults yourself commonly represented by fault codes, usually accompanied by both the ABS and Traction Control light on constantly e. These codes are telling you that the hydraulic unit pump motor is not working. Over time (usually 8-10 years) the carbon brushes within the motor begin to expand within their carriers (due to resin breakdown) making them seize. The fault codes are often intermittent at first as the brushes momentarily free up, but eventually they will get stuck rendering the motor and pump un-usable. This repair kit features a remanufactured motor which has been rebuilt using specialist upgraded carbon brushes designed to last the life of the vehicle. This kit is the fastest repair solution to get your vehicle back on the road with ABS and Traction Control fully functional again. NOTE: As the motor is remanufactured it may show signs of the remanufacturing process which can include chipped plastic on the faceplate and our unique paint touch-up, this does not affect the function and all our motors are identical in terms of function and service life. Please understand that the motor is not pristine – it is a remanufactured item. Please NOTE: This repair kit WILL NOT repair BMW 5E20 Pressue Sensor or similar related fault codes – this requires careful replacement of the internal pressure sensor(s) located deep within the hydraulic pump block. Very specialist equipment is required to do this, and the hydraulic block is often swapped for a working unit instead. The Repair Kit consists of. 1x Re-manufactured Motor complete with upgraded brushes and bearing. 2x Cotton Buds for cleaning. 1x pipette for brake fluid port flushing and reservoir extraction. 1x Araldite Standard two-part Epoxy Resin system to bond the motor to the block. 6x Blanking Plugs for brake line ports. 6x Bleed Nipple caps for brake lines and spares for bleed nipples. Cable ties to secure the motor which allows you to reinstall the unit in the vehicle and bleed the brakes immediately, without having to wait for the adhesive to cure. You will basically be replacing the same parts that a professional refurbishment service would replace. You can now do it yourself for a fraction of the cost. Important: Replacement of these parts requires good mechanical knowledge, including access to a bench vice, a chisel and hammer or a hand-held grinder i. You will receive instructions on how to strip and re-fit the motor with the kit. We have developed this kit ourselves through trial and error. Important note: Please do not be tempted to replace the carbon brushes in your motor with standard cheap inferior grey carbon brushes found in hand drills and hoover motors etc. They will struggle to generate the motor performance required for the hydraulic pump, or the required rapid start speed for ABS to kick in when you lose traction, and create excessive dust (this is a non-vented motor).
